Adolescent Wellness Centre (AWC) – Jamuhuri Parish

FCI Mission Africa Foundation, in partnership with ACK St. Paul Parish, Jamuhuri, has launched an Adolescent Wellness Centre (AWC) to serve adolescents aged 10–19 years within the church community and the neighboring Kibera informal settlement. This initiative is part of our commitment to creating safe, nurturing spaces that promote holistic adolescent development.

Why an AWC?

Adolescents in fragile contexts face multiple challenges—limited access to health services, psychosocial support, spiritual guidance, and economic opportunities. The AWC model leverages the trust and infrastructure of faith institutions to deliver integrated support that addresses these needs.

Why It Matters

Climate change is not just an environmental issue—it is a moral and spiritual call to action. By rooting climate leadership in faith and empowering adolescents, we are nurturing an environmentally conscious generation that values creation care as part of its identity and mission.
