FCI Mission Africa envisions a movement where churches and the faith community across Africa become safe, nurturing, and empowering spaces for adolescents, especially those in fragile contexts.

The Challenge

The Challenge

Adolescents across Africa—especially in fragile, conflict-affected, and impoverished communities—are falling through the cracks. Despite being a critical demographic for transformation, they face spiritual neglect, social exclusion, and economic vulnerability. Churches and faith communities, though trusted and proximate, are not adequately responding to these needs.

  • Limited engagement by faith institutions in adolescent wellbeing beyond spiritual activities.
  • Lack of awareness and theological grounding among faith leaders to address complex adolescent realities.
  • Underfunded youth ministries that overlook health, trauma care, and economic empowerment.

Transformation Pathway

FCI Mission Africa Foundation follows a three-phase transformative pathway to unlock the potential of faith communities in advancing adolescent wellbeing across Africa. Each phase builds on the previous, creating a sustainable model for change.

Phase 1: Faith Leadership Development

We equip churches and grassroots faith leaders with leadership skills, and a renewed mission focus. Programs like The Apostolic Pathway Initiative and The Aquilla and Priscilla Fellowship cultivate spiritually grounded leaders committed to holistic adolescent ministry.

Phase 2: Faith Institutional Development

We amplify faith institutions' work and impact measurement. Initiatives such as; The Nehemiah Initiative, Acts Impact Studio, FaithFront Advocacy Lab and Mission Wellspring Initiative build institutional resilience and capacity to serve adolescents effectively.

Phase 3: Adolescent Development

Empowered institutions extend holistic support to adolescents via Adolescent Wellness Centres (AWCs). Through the SHE Programme, adolescents receive spiritual care, health services, psychosocial support, education, and economic empowerment.
